ClearanceClear the cross to one pawn
Pawns stand on a cross of thirty-three squares. A pawn jumps a neighbour, along a rank or a file, into the empty square beyond, and the pawn it jumped is taken. Keep jumping until one pawn stands. Leave it on the centre and it is crowned.
