How to play

DropOut when the count matches the rank

Drop the piece in your hand into one of the six files; it falls to the lowest free square. Every piece has a rank: pawn one, knight two, bishop three, rook four, queen five, king six. A piece leaves when the count around it matches its rank.

RulesWhat counts, what ends it

Two counts matter: the pieces touching in its rank, the run across, and the pieces in its file, the column. Either one equal to its rank and it goes.
Chains follow: pieces that leave let others fall, which changes the counts. Each step pays more.
Every five drops a face-down row rises from the bottom. A face-down piece shows itself after two clears beside it.
The end comes when a rising row would push a piece off the top.
